BioCycle Labs: Where Engineering Meets Sustainability

The Solution: Compact, Modular, and Efficient

At the core of BioCycle Labs’ technology is the BioCycle Reactor - a modular treatment unit engineered to deliver maximum performance within a minimal footprint.
  • Energy use: less than 1.5 kWh per cubic meter
  • Purification efficiency: up to 95%
  • Footprint: approximately 30 m²
Our system integrates physical and electrochemical processes to separate, disinfect, and recover resources directly on the farm. Each module can operate independently or as part of a complete circular treatment line - enabling scalable solutions from small dairy farms to large livestock operations.

In agriculture, sustainability is no longer an abstract concept - it is an operational challenge. How can farms comply with strict nitrate limits, reduce emissions, and still remain profitable?

At BioCycle Labs, we believe that the answer lies in engineering. Our mission is to turn sustainability from a goal into a measurable, scalable process - one that saves resources, reduces costs, and empowers farms to operate within a circular model.

Across Europe, farmers face growing regulatory pressure to manage manure and wastewater responsibly. Traditional treatment methods often mean transporting slurry to external processors, consuming large amounts of energy, and losing valuable nutrients along the way.

We designed our solution to reverse this logic. Instead of removing waste from the farm, we bring treatment to the source - transforming it into a closed, circular system where water and nutrients stay in use.
Engineering Designed for Farmers

We build technology for real agricultural conditions, not laboratory settings. That means:
  • Simple, intuitive operation
  • Plug-and-play installation with minimal civil works
  • Easy maintenance and data monitoring
  • Adaptability to local water and nutrient regulations
Each BioCycle system is designed to work with the farm - not to add complexity, but to reduce it.

Sustainability You Can Measure

We define sustainability through measurable impact, not promises:
  • Reduced slurry transport and CO₂ emissions
  • Lower nitrate discharge to groundwater
  • On-farm water reuse for irrigation and cleaning
  • Conversion of solids into organic fertilizer instead of waste
Every cubic meter treated creates tangible environmental and economic value - closing the loop between production, regulation, and resource recovery.

Collaboration for Scalable Change

Our technology evolves through partnerships. BioCycle Labs works with leading research and innovation centers - including VITO, LBTU, and Teagasc - as well as with farmers and cooperatives across Europe. Together, we validate, optimize, and adapt the system for diverse agricultural contexts and climates. Collaboration is how we turn prototypes into impact.

The Future of Agricultural Infrastructure

Circular treatment systems are becoming as essential to farming as energy and storage. At BioCycle Labs, we are building the foundation for that future: accessible, modular, and efficient systems that make sustainable operation achievable for every farm - not just the largest ones.

Engineering and sustainability are not separate disciplines. They are two sides of the same challenge - and the same solution.
